Are there any 15" wheels that will clear 305s?

Postby tobyk » Sun Feb 07, 2010 6:50 pm

Looks like my ABF is sorted, so just looking at getting a few bits now. I've got most of what I need for a G60 brake setup, but just wondering if anyone knows any 15" wheels that would clear the Seat 305s? Compo MOs maybe?

Cheers.

MO's definately do. Think you need a 25 offset as a minimum.

A Mate had a setup on a MK2 years and years ago

Sorry Mike when i said I had most of a G60 280 setup but was asking about the 305s, is because if I can get the Seat 305s with brembos under 15" wheels, I'll do it.

Andy, that's great cheers.

Reckon if I built up a hub with brakes and took it with me, a wheel stockist would let me check for clearance? lol

Also, does anyone know if AP and Brembo calipers and brackets are interchangeable? Seeing as Brembo own AP...

Toby,

as far as i know from us seat boys, 16's is a minimum with the 305 setup,
be it mo's or the super T's i have.

never heard of 15's fitting loon.

good question but what caliper setup you going for before your thinking about swapping brackets?

Try badger 5 on SCN he is the brakes guru.

As i said 15" MO's DO Fit, You just have to be careful about what offset you choose for the width!

2 secs on google found this thread, from way back in 2002 on another car, 7x15 ET20

That thread is brilliant cheers. ET20 isn't exactly extreme either, I'd get away with 195/50-15s with that with minimal arch choppage.
